Tack Sharp is Key to get a better photo on canvas

Alright, so this tip is not an absolute for a great photo. There are times when a soft focus can make a bold statement; but soft focus and camera shake are certainly two very different things. Camera shake takes place most often in low light situations, when the camera uses a slower shutter speed in order to capture more light. The slower shutter makes it easier for the camera to pick up any movement of the camera. Although you may think you are standing perfectly still while snapping your shot, even your heartbeat or your shaky trigger finger can cause camera shake. A great way to prevent this is to use a tripod. Although using a tripod may not always be practical the benefits are certainly apparent, especially when planning to print large size photographs like photos on canvas. Chances are there is more than one picture plagued by camera shake lurking in your digital photo album.

This phenomenon isn’t always apparent, though, when viewing your pictures as thumbnails on the computer screen. But don’t worry, you can easily check the sharpness of your photos by simply enlarging them in your favorite photo editing software.
Anywhere from 75% to 100% zoom will give you a good idea of what you’re working with.
